Kars Kazak - Carpet - 285 cm - 208 cm

Old Turkish rug Kars Kazak – Pure wool – 1940-1950 – 285 × 208 cm We present a spectacular antique Turkish rug from Kars Kazak, dated to 1940-1950, entirely handmade in pure wool. It stands out for its magnificent geometric design inspired by the Caucasus, with large traditional motifs and an attractive combination of red, blue, green, ivory, and pinkish tones. This is a rug with a fine, relatively flat weave, short and compact pile. It is not a thick or hairy rug; due to its fineness and flexibility it has a texture similar to a kilim. This detail can be clearly seen in the photographs.
