The works are shipped from the artist based in the United States to our logistics platform in France, which handles import and customs clearance, before returning them individually to our collectors without any constraints. Karl Lagasse, a renowned artist, gained notoriety in 2009 with his One Dollar sculptures, ranking that year among the top ten sculptors under 30 according to Artprice. In 2012, the New York publication Farameh named him as one of the fifty best contemporary artists, inspired by traditional American icons, in its book FOR WHICH IT STANDS: Americana in Contemporary Art. More recently, in 2016, during the Art Paris Art Fair, the President of the French Republic warmly congratulated Karl on his impressive 2-meter bronze sculpture One Dollar, exhibited at the Grand Palais. Karl’s artistic journey began at the age of 7 with collages, encouraged by his encounter with sculptor César Baldaccini. He later turned to tagging and graffiti in the Paris metro while remaining passionate about collages. The artist Yvaral Vasarely encouraged him to merge his tags with his collages. In 2003, Karl prepared his first exhibition in Paris, which led to his first solo show in 2006 at the Isy Brachot gallery in Brussels. In 2008, he returned to Paris with an exhibition combining paintings, sculptures, and video elements at the Espace Pierre Cardin. Karl particularly enjoys unveiling his works at international exhibitions. In 2011, he was represented by the Bel Air Fine Art gallery at the Art Monaco show with his Cryptogram One creation. The following year, he presented his One Dollar works under the theme “In God We Trust” at the Artco France gallery. His 2016 solo show at the Atrium gallery in Marbella, Spain, was inaugurated by the mayor, who praised his works in front of the international press.
