Up for auction: a classic, refined, and historically prized bellows camera for glass plates—the Kamera Werkstätten Patent Etui, produced in Germany by Kamera Werkstätten (KW) in Dresden during the 1920s. The lot presents in good overall condition, with normal signs of use and preservation consistent with its age and pre-war history, and it is functioning. Optics: The camera mounts the extraordinary and prestigious original Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 1:4.5 f=12cm. The lenses are in good preserved condition, free of surface scratches or traces of internal mold and fungi. Only a normal and widespread vintage patina due to time is evident, entirely physiological for a piece of this age. Mechanical: The lot has been tested and is mechanically functioning.
