June 8

June 8, 1969 Mickey Mantle Day ticket stub (PSA VG 3) and scorecard - Number (7) retired. Original ticket stub and scorecard issued by the Yankees for their June 8, 1969 game vs. Chicago. It was a momentous day as the team honored Mickey Mantle and retired his famed uniform number "7." Stub is graded VG 3 by PSA and presents nicely with a hint of wear to the front. Back has some upper surface paper loss, a small stain, and area where tape is applied. Scorecard is very sharp with just a touch of handling wear. There is a game related notation on the front cover and it is scored neatly in pencil. In addition, there is a second scorecard page (not attached) which was filled out that day to reflect the second game of a doubleheader. Also found inside with a small insert which pictures Mantle (not clear if this is original to the scorecard): Ticket stub PSA VG 3, Scorecard EX
