Jugendstil Tile - MAW & Co. - Art Nouveau - 1890 -1910

Art Nouveau tile made by: MAW & Co, Benthall Works, Jackfield, Shropshire, England. The tile is made at the end of the 19th century. MAW & Co was then the largest tile producer with more than 20 million pieces per year! The classic decor is relief-decorated using Dust-pressed technique where clay powder is pressed under high pressure into a mold. The tile is in good used condition, with only some small glaze damages and fine scratches. The back is marked with the factory name. I pack the tile(s) with great care.
