This continental edition was produced for Virgin France S.A. and pressed in September 1981, representing a significant early variation of this defining post-punk classic. The pressing retains the distinctive textured outer sleeve—a hallmark of the album's iconic design by Peter Saville, based on the pulsar waveform image—and comes complete with the original printed inner sleeve.
