Beautiful and detailed bronze statue of the huntress Diana with bow and two hunting dogs, designed by Josef Lorenzl (1892–1950). This expressive Art Deco work shows Diana in a dynamic pose as she draws her bow. The slender, elegant proportions and the flowing movement in her hair and the dogs are characteristic of Lorenzl’s style. The composition radiates power and refinement and forms a beautiful example of early 20th-century Viennese Art Deco sculpture. The statue is in excellent condition and has a beautiful, warm patina. Signed and numbered. Also stamped with the foundry mark. Placed on an elegant marble plinth. All our objects are packed with care and attention.
