JFK & Rusk Signed Goldberg Appointment - Grad

Important presidential appointment signed by John F. Kennedy and countersigned by Secretary of State Dean Rusk, dated March 15, 1961. The document appoints Arthur J. Goldberg, then U.S. Secretary of Labor, as a member of the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations for a two-year term. Goldberg would go on to become an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court after being appointed by Kennedy in 1962, and later served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
