Large and superbly executed XL sculpture made of lacquered zinc alloy. The figure is a woman and is titled "Le Commerce". Created by the French artist Jean-Baptiste Germain (1841-1910). At the front of the statue there is a copper plate with the title. The sculpture has a beautiful versatile bronze-toned patina. A stunning figure depicting an elegant woman holding a laurel wreath aloft. The statue is finely finished and sits on a sturdy wooden pedestal and has a classic style that fits well in luxurious interiors. ■ NOTE The item—the woman in the hand—appears to be broken off.
