JAUME ANGLÈS BERGARA (Barcelona -1943) -Composition with figures (“Infinite Character”) -Dated: Dated on the back 23-11-1983 -Mixed media on canvas -Dimensions: 65 x 81 cm : 69,5 x 85,5 with frame. -Signed: Signed at the bottom -This piece clearly reflects Anglès Bergara’s distinctive visual language, in dialogue with major figures of modern art: Joan Miró → in the simplification of forms, symbolic language, and structured naivety. Marc Chagall → in the dreamlike narrative and compositional freedom. Wassily Kandinsky → in the dynamic spatial organization and expressive use of color. -An original work by Catalan artist Jaume Anglès Bergara, featuring a powerful composition of fragmented and symbolic figures. The scene is built through geometric, expressive characters that seem to interact within an ambiguous, almost theatrical space, where narrative gives way to a strong poetic and visual presence. The use of warm tones (ochres, reds, and blacks), combined with subtle light contrasts, creates an immersive atmosphere. The figures — simplified and mask-like — evoke themes of multiple identity and transformation, a key concept in the artist’s work.
