Todas las subastas / Varios / Japanese Happiness Seals - Inkan or Hanko - Japan (No reserve price)
A very large collection of old wooden Japanese Happiness Seals, just imported from Japan to The Netherlands. This is a unique vintage set of 350 + Japanese Hanko Seals or "Koufuku Insho" (幸福印章), which literally translates to "Happiness Seals." These seals were traditionally sold in high-end Japanese department stores, crafted with the belief that a well-made seal brings good luck and prosperity to its owner. Highlights of this collection: 100% Unique: Every single seal in this set represents a different Japanese surname. There are no duplicates, offering a vast library of 150 distinct kanji designs. The Masterful Tensho Script: All 350 stamps are expertly engraved in "Tensho-tai" (Seal Script). This is the most formal and ancient style of Japanese calligraphy, known for its symmetrical, labyrinth-like beauty. It is the same script used on Japanese banknotes and official government seals. Artistic Versatility: While originally intended for personal identification, this set is perfect for collectors of Japanese artifacts, educational purposes, graphic designers seeking calligraphic inspiration, or as unique materials for mixed-media art and stamping projects. These items are estimated to be between 40 and 70 years old. Please see the pictures for details. Sizes: 5,8 x 1 x 1 cm each. Amount: 350. Plus a few extra for good luck! The total weight is approximately 1,5 KG. Shipping insured and fast from NL, no import problems or costs for EU inhabitants!
