She studied at Bournemouth College of Art, Camberwell School of Art, Brighton Polytechnic, the Slade School of Fine, Art, and Goldsmiths' College. Harris became particularly known for using ellipses and curved shapes, exploring how colour, light, surface, and space can change the way a painting is seen.
