Oil painting on canvas, Polder landscape with a farm and cows in a meadow Painted by the artist Jan Kagie sr. (1885–1971) Johannes Leonardus Kagie, better known as Jan Kagie sr., was a Dutch painter and draughtsman. He was born in 1885 in The Hague, where he lived and worked for most of his life. Initially Kagie worked as a house and decorative painter, after which he dedicated himself entirely to自由 painting. His oeuvre includes, among other things, landscapes, still lifes and figure studies. In addition to his own artistry, Kagie was active as a teacher. He taught, among others, his son Jan Kagie and artists such as H. van Leeuwen, Chris Snijder, Ben de Kreek and Jan Vermeulen. Kagie died in 1971. The work is in good condition and signed bottom right. The work is housed in a matching frame. Canvas size is 55 by 76 cm. The work is carefully packaged and shipped.
