An elegant pair of threader earrings in S925 sterling silver, each set with two pieces of natural jadeite jade: a barrel bead and a donut drop. Each of the four jadeite components has its own NGTC certificate confirming it as Type A jadeite, meaning untreated: no bleaching, no polymer impregnation and no dyeing. The donut drops are the classic 平安扣 (ping'an kou, "peace buckle"), one of the most beloved forms in Chinese jade. Its smooth, unbroken circle has long been worn as a symbol of peace, safety and protection. The donuts here are generously sized and softly rounded, in a cool light green and white jadeite with natural patches of deeper green drifting through the stone. No two are quite alike, which gives each earring its own character. Above each donut sits a neat barrel bead, one in white jadeite and the other in light green and white.
