Todas las subastas / Arte contemporáneo / Jacqueline Klein Breteler - “Where the wind takes me...
Portrait painted on a carpet. I close my eyes, and let the wind decide. With hanging mechanism. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Artist Story: Born in 1964, Dutch artist Jacqueline Klein Breteler lives and works in a charming village in the heart of the Netherlands. After graduating from the Art Academy in Rotterdam, life took her on a different path—one filled with family, love, and raising five sons. For years, her creative pursuits took a backseat to motherhood, but as soon as her youngest started school, she eagerly returned to painting. Fate led her to a home with a spacious atelier, where she now dedicates herself fully to her art. Initially focusing on portrait painting, she gradually pushed the boundaries of scale and expression, creating larger-than-life works that captivate and evoke deep emotion. Today, Jacqueline is renowned for her monumental portrait paintings on both canvas and area rugs—a striking and unconventional medium that has garnered widespread attention from galleries and collectors. Her unique technique and bold artistic vision have earned her a devoted following, with her works now gracing private collections and prestigious exhibitions worldwide. Owning one of her pieces means more than just acquiring art—it means bringing home a powerful statement, a conversation piece, and a true centerpiece that transforms any space. Her art, in all its daring scale and emotive power, carries a message of strength and fragility—of the stories of women who carry worlds on their shoulders, whose lives are both vast and intimate, whose hearts are strong yet delicate. Currently available at: Artsy, Sille Gallery in Oudewater, Royals and rebels art in Vught and Artfusion in Amsterdam, and many more places.
