Eternal Venice: The Golden Light of the Rialto in a Rare 1921 Canvas We are pleased to present at auction a work of art that captures the very essence of the Serenissima: a vibrant and evocative view of the Grand Canal with the iconic Rialto Bridge. This oil painting on canvas from the early twentieth century is not a simple representation, but an authentic window onto the most romantic city in the world, immortalized in a moment of warm, golden light that embraces the historic facades and the reflections on the water. The piece is finely signed by the artist U. Barnaba in the lower right corner. In the lower left corner it bears the inscription “E. 1921 CL VENEZIA,” an element of great collecting interest that certifies the place of creation and fixes its execution in 1921, the heyday of post-impressionist vedutismo.
