Italian school (XIX) - Ritratto in stile rinascimentale

Votive plaque painted in oil on panel from the late 19th century, depicting a noble benefactress wearing a head covering called a coif or balzana and with wavy, loose tresses over her shoulders. It was probably inserted in a ceiling decoration or boiserie and presents a patina of age. It measures 38 x 33 cm. Due to current regulations it cannot be shipped outside the European Union.
