ew in box is this Scandinavian design vase from Finland and designed by Alvar Aalto. The tall model vase is handmade and mouth-blown and has a salmon-pink color. The name of the vase is "Savoy." The Savoy Vase was designed by Alvar Aalto in 1936 for the Savoy Restaurant in Helsinki, Finland. The vase is made of glass and has a unique form, with a wavy surface that is meant to resemble the movement of water. It is regarded as a classic example of Finnish design and is still produced. The Savoy Vase is part of a larger collection of glassware designed by Aalto for the restaurant, which also includes the smaller cousin of the Savoy Vase, the Aalto Vase. These pieces are now regarded as iconic examples of Scandinavian design and are highly sought after by collectors around the world. Dimensions are: 25 x 16.5 x 15.5 cm.
