Todas las subastas / Arte contemporáneo / HÖK (1984) - Mickey's Moods - Square Extra Large XXL (NO RESERVE PRICE!!)
CONCEPT OF THE WORK Mickey Mouse becomes in this work a reflection of our own moods. His face appears split into four moments and four different expressions, showing how the same person can move between different emotions, attitudes and ways of facing the world. The composition is inspired by the visual language of Andy Warhol and his well-known repetitive structures, where the same image transforms through chromatic variations. Here, HÖK Artist takes that idea into his own universe: not only do the colors and backgrounds change, but also Mickey’s expressions, turning each fragment into a different emotional state. The result is an energetic work full of contrasts that unites Pop Art, urban culture and nostalgia, reminding us that our mood changes constantly, even though we remain the same person. Original work hand-painted by the artist, with overlapping paint, color, splashes and gestural strokes that make each piece a unique work. ──────────────────────── HÖK ARTIST HÖK Artist’s works are part of private collections in more than 20 countries and have been exhibited in art galleries in Spain and Europe.
