Todas las subastas / Arte contemporáneo / HÖK (1984) - Haring's Skate Revolution - Square Extra Large XXL
ARRATIVE AND CONCEPT OF THE WORK This work is a personal homage by HÖK to Keith Haring, one of his major artistic references. Starting from Haring's unmistakable visual language, the piece proposes a contemporary reinterpretation in which his forms, lines and energy fuse with elements typical of HÖK's universe. The character on the skateboard introduces movement, urban culture, and a free, carefree attitude, while the black strokes, drips and small color splashes transform the composition into a dialogue between two artistic languages. Created in 2026, the work coincides with the 36th anniversary of Keith Haring's death, who passed away on February 16, 1990 at the age of 31. This same year he would have turned 68 on May 4. Haring’s Skate Revolution thus arises from admiration and respect: a tribute to an artist who made line, movement and urban culture a universal visual language. ──────────────────────── HÖK ARTIST HÖK Artist works are part of private collections in more than 20 countries and have been exhibited in art galleries in Spain and Europe.
