HERGÉ. The Blue Lotus. Tournai-Paris, Casterman, 1946. In-4, publisher’s color-illustrated hardcover, red spine, blue illustrated endpapers. Fifth volume of The Adventures of Tintin. First edition in color, with the inner front cover (B1) bearing the inscription “Collection Tintin,” a blue title on the title page, and a 1946 copyright. These characteristics correspond to the first edition of the revised, full-color story. Covers are scuffed and slightly creased, with minor wear on the caps and corners; visible scuffs along the edges. The paper has noticeably browned, with a few small stains and signs of reading. The pages retain their vibrant colors.
