From an artisanal workshop, this proof is printed according to traditional methods, where each color is applied by hand, pass after pass. This deliberately slow rhythm, far from industrial productions, guarantees a standard of execution and a wealth of material that are immediately perceptible. This work revisits one of Henri Matisse’s most iconic compositions, where the apparent simplicity of the motif reveals an absolute mastery of form and color. The deep blue, signature of this series, imposes a presence that is both graphical and timeless. The quality of Arches paper, combined with exacting printing work, gives this proof an especially elegant texture and depth. Each copy benefits from a unique character, reinforced by the artisanal deckle cut. Work in perfect condition, never framed, photo with framing for example.
