Trained under great masters, he was notably a pupil of Nicolas-Pierre Untersteller before obtaining his diploma at the European Academy of Fine Arts. Known for his figurative style and poetic sensibility, he specialized in landscape representations, capturing farms and the countryside through his paintings and lithographs. His technical mastery is evident in major compositions such as his views of the Moselle and Metz Cathedral.
