VERY RARE LUXURY EDITION, entirely decorated with 42 magnificent original color wood engravings by André Margat, including 2 impressive double-page plates, 14 plates hors-texte, as well as numerous stylized initials and tailpieces. EXCEPTIONAL SIGNED COLLABORATOR COPY NO. XVIII (18) on the colophon. This prestigious art edition was produced in a strictly limited global print run of only 175 copies on Lana papermaker’s pure cotton rag. While numbers 1 to 150 were reserved for members, this copy belongs to the very small circle of 25 collaborator copies (marked I to XXV), highly sought after by bibliophiles. Condition: The interior of the work is very fresh, the cotton rag paper and Margat’s color wood engravings have retained all their original brilliance. The case and protective rigid cover are present but show signs of wear at the edges (slight rubbing, small restorations or old adhesive visible on the marbled paper). A beautiful collectible, complete and rare in this numbering.
