Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A gold pendant with an oval body and a central red carnelian inset in a tapering raised cell. The front is decorated with borders of ribbed wire, applied pellets, and wire circles arranged around the inset. Volutes frame the lower edge. A plain suspension loop is soldered above. The reverse is flat and plain. Size: 32mm x 17mm; Weight: 4.8g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier held in an old family collection formed over the period 1960s�2000. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
