Hanging lamp - Pantograph model - Steel - Accordion lamp

The object in the image is an iconic wall-mounted pantograph lamp (also known as an “accordion” or “scissor” lamp), an absolute classic of 20th-century industrial design. This type of lamp originated in the early decades of the 20th century to meet purely practical and working needs. It was primarily used in mechanical workshops, artisanal laboratories, post offices, and engineers’ drawing boards. Its flexible structure answered a precise need: to direct and bring the light directly onto the work area, then retract the lamp to free up space on the table once the task was finished. Today these lamps have shed their purely industrial function to become sought-after vintage and mid-century modern furnishings and collectibles. They are perfect placed above a bedside table in the bedroom, next to a reading chair, or above a desk in a study with urban or industrial style. Photos are an integral part of the description. We guarantee shipping with appropriate packaging, prompt handling, and tracking.
