Groot antiek beeld - Édouard Drouot (1859–1945) - Sculpture

Very beautiful and also large antique bronze sculpture, depicting a half-naked young hunter with a spear, triumphantly holding a tiger cub aloft in his other hand. The powerful posture, refined anatomy and dynamic composition give the sculpture an impressive and heroic appearance. This sculpture was created in the second half of the 19th century by the French sculptor Édouard Drouot (1859–1945), an artist known for his masterfully executed allegorical and Oriental-inspired bronze figures. The artwork is signed at the base and is in excellent condition. The spear is detachable and is supplied separately with the sculpture. Dimensions: 80 × 32 × 32 cm (height × width × depth).
