o reserve price Magnificent necklace of green jadeite pearls knotting them one by one by hand on high-quality thread with an 18-karat yellow gold, ridged ball-shaped closure. Jadeite (the rarest and most valuable variety of jade) has been used to make jewelry pieces and ritual objects by the Aztecs, Mayans, and Olmecs. Throughout history, it has been very important in Chinese culture, where it symbolizes luck, eternity, and balance. They also believe it has the power to connect the living with the dead, or Heaven with Earth, and it is commonly used in Chinese funerary and mystic rites. This necklace is a new piece of jewelry (however, to assess its condition yourself please study the photographs closely; they are part of the description).
