Goyard – Antique travel trunk in Goyardine canvas – France – First half of the 20th century Description Antique Goyard travel trunk, made in the characteristic Goyardine canvas with its emblematic chevron motif. The piece bears several E. Goyard marks visible on the canvas. It features a rigid structure with wooden reinforcements, metal hardware, closures marked “SURETÉ” and a leather handle. On the front, the initials “J.C.A.” are painted in red, a characteristic detail of personalized travel trunks from the era. The interior retains its original light-toned textile lining, as well as the interior securing straps. Approximate measurements: 60.5 × 38 × 19.5 cm. Condition: Overall good condition considering its age and use. It shows normal signs of wear: wear and superficial losses in some areas of the Goyardine canvas, marks and scuffs on the wooden reinforcements, patina on the hardware and wear on the leather handle. The interior shows some stains and signs of use. The photographs form part of the description and show in detail the conservation status. An attractive antique Goyard trunk, with a beautiful patina and character, interesting for both collectors of historic luggage and for decoration.
