Globe terrestre - Ice bucket - Wood, Plastic - Ice bucket

retro table ice bucket (or bar cooler) shaped like a globe, made in Hong Kong during the 1970s-1980s (a period when the territory was under British colonial administration). At that time, Hong Kong was one of the world's leading centers for exporting bar accessories. The surface of the sphere reproduces an old maritime map from the 16th or 17th century (Old World Map). The background features an ochre hue imitating aged parchment. It is richly decorated with period illustrations: sailing ships (galleons), compass roses and mythological sea monsters. The geographic inscriptions use Latin or Old Italian terms (e.g.: "Golfo de Tonza", "Mare Macchian"). Dimensions: 29cm ×17cm× 17cm Weight: 800g
