Who doesn't know them - the iconic short hairstyles of Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren or Liz Taylor? They are symbols of the 1950s style, which evolved from the functional hairstyles of the war era, but now placed particular emphasis on elaborate waves and artistic styling. While earrings hardly played a role in the 1940s, they made a brilliant comeback in the post-war period - in every conceivable shape and material, as clips, studs or pendants. This elegant pair of earrings also dates back to the era of the economic miracle, glamorous film icons and rock 'n' roll. There is still a hint of Art Deco in the clear, shimmering white geometry - an echo of the pre-war era. At the same time, the shiny, asymmetrically curved upper sections and the stylized leaf shapes of the pendant underneath are a clear reference to the modern understanding of design in the 1950s. A stylistic combination of dynamism and abstraction - an expression of a decade full of optimism and joie de vivre. A total of more than two carats of diamonds in brilliant, baguette and octagonal cuts give these earrings made from high-carat white gold their sparkling finish.
