Todas las subastas / Arte contemporáneo / Giovanni Santaniello (1967) - Mona Lisa Duck
Oil painting on canvas depicting 'Mona Lisa Duck' by Giovanni Santaniello This work represents a contemporary reinterpretation of the famous Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, where the human face is replaced by that of a duck-shaped character in cartoon style. Giovanni Santaniello is an Italian contemporary artist known for his Pop Art parodies of classical masterpieces, blending Renaissance iconography with elements of modern popular culture. This ironic and playful approach to classical art reflects a 21st-century artistic trend that challenges traditional conventions through humor and mass culture. This type of artwork attracts collectors of contemporary pop art, fans of Disney culture and cartoons, and those seeking original and fun wall decorations. Santaniello's work is particularly popular with young collectors and lovers of ironic art who appreciate the fusion between classical references and the modern imagination of cartoons. These works are highly sought after for their ability to make art accessible and entertaining, while maintaining a high level of technical quality.
