“Meridies” belongs to my series “Lucis Fragmenta,” where light is revealed as it refracts through color fragments. The work captures the moment when light reaches its peak, noon, and decomposes it into planes that open and diverge across a calm sky. Each fragment acts as a threshold between brightness and shadow, allowing light to become matter within the composition. It is an abstract piece whose interpretation remains open to every viewer. Details of the work: • "Meridies - Lucis fragmenta" is a contemporary, unique, and original abstract work, entirely handmade with professional acrylic on cotton canvas. • Dimensions: 100 cm × 100 cm. • Created directly in my studio. • Canvas size: The canvas measures approximately 110 cm × 110 cm, including the margin needed for its new mounting on a 100 cm × 100 cm × 2 cm stretcher (approximately). • Finish and protection: The work is protected with a professional satin varnish, preserving color intensity and ensuring its longevity over time. • Unique and original work: Painted entirely by hand, signed and dated on the back by the visual artist Gaby Acevedo, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. I am a visual artist. I live and produce my works in Spain. For more than 25 years I have developed an artistic practice focused on contemporary abstract painting, where color, matter, and collage are the pillars of my visual language. My work arises from observation and dialogue with the landscapes, the spaces we inhabit, and the traces they leave on our memory. Each series responds to a distinct research, but all share the purpose of transforming experience into a visual language open to emotion and free interpretation.
