Palermo - Pair of splendid and refined original photographic images, printed on albumen paper, sepia-toned, mounted on antique cardboard front and back, made around 1880 by the renowned German- Neapolitan photographer Giorgio Sommer, one of the leading precursors of photographic art in Italy. The photographs of rare beauty depict two splendid views and sights of the city of Palermo: Piazza della Cattedrale Villa Giulia The photos are in good condition with minimal signs of use and slight aging marks, consistent with objects that have traversed almost 150 years of history. The photos will be carefully packed and shipped by courier.
