G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #1 - Based on the Hasbro...

The first issue of Marvel's G.I. Joe series, in the American first edition from June 1982, CGC 9.2 with white pages. G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero No. 1 gathers the script by Larry Hama, the pencils by Don Perlin and inks by Jack Abel, with a cover by Herb Trimpe and Bob McLeod: a lively battle scene that conveys all the character of the series and the Hasbro universe of the eighties. The exemplar offered is the Direct Edition, intended for the comic shop circuit and recognizable by Spider-Man’s face in the lower left inset. English-language issue, with an original cover price of $1.50. The CGC Universal Grade 9.2 certification, accompanied by the label White Pages, highlights its condition. The comic is sealed in a CGC slab with a blue label and certification number 3917881012. A debut issue of interest both to Marvel comic collectors and to G.I. Joe fans. The assigned grade allows for minor imperfections and is not equivalent to perfect preservation; the external condition of the casing is documented in the photographs.
