The frame is also in excellent condition If sold, the painting will be carefully packed and insured for shipping Daughter of an artist, her father was Giuseppe Bisi, a respected Lombard painter. After being awarded at the Brera Academy in 1845 for a grand mountain landscape, she established herself on the Milanese art scene as the heir to the Lombard Romantic tradition. She began to exhibit frequently and participated in the major exhibitions in Turin, Parma and Florence, at the National Exhibition of 1881 in Milan and in Venice in 1887, achieving notable successes. From the mid-1940s of the twentieth century she began to distance herself from her father's influence and produced a vast repertoire of Lombard and Ticinese views and landscapes influenced by contemporary naturalistic research, as well represented in the work in the catalog. Her painting is characterized by vibrant tones composed of rapid brushstrokes and a particular sensitivity to the luminist values of the landscape.
