François-Théodore Legras - Vase - Forme Toul - Glass - Autumn lakeside

Very elegant Art Nouveau vase attributed to François-Théodore Legras (1839-1916), made in France around 1900-1910, Toul-form model titled "Autumn Lakeside Landscape". It features a very beautiful naturalistic decor depicting a woodland with tall slender trees with sinuous trunks, fine branches and small leaves in reddish-brown tones. The landscape stands out against a glass background with soft gradients of pink, ivory and green, with a ground decor in brown tones. The hand-painted and glazed decoration is particularly delicate and testifies to the period's taste for nature-inspired representations. The cylindrical form, slightly flared at the neck, and the composition of the decor are characteristic of Legras glassworks’ Art Nouveau productions, one of the great French houses of the era. The piece is unsigned. No cracks or chips observed. The decoration is well preserved. Very slight traces of use, normal for its age. See photos which are part of the description.
