signed and dated 'Francis Bott '71' l.l., also signed, inscribed and dated verso, oil and wood relief on board, 100 x 90cm; unframed, Christie's, London, 'Works from the Studio of Francis Bott', 16 November 2006, lot 129, where acquired by the present owner. Condition Report, Condition Report, Spotting to the blue paint. A little light surface dust and dirt with some minor surface scuffs and abrasions. A couple of small losses to the black paint in the lower left corner. There is a scratch through the black, white and blue paint to centre of the lower edge. The white paint has some dirty marks. The thin vertical strip of wood painted white on the right side of the composition appears to have been compacted at the top. There are some brown marks to either side of the same strip of relief which appear to be the adhesive used to construct the work.
