This sculptural piece in a form , is painted in matte black acrylic atop a solid block of rough Roman travertine marble 6 cm thick with polished edges. The stone's natural cavities give it an organic, porous texture. It is a set of 4 pieces from the collection "Lines of Construction"; in this case, it is piece "B" produced in a limited edition of 25 units per work, with this piece being number 1 of 25. In this work, I aimed to emphasize the protagonism of the contrast between void and material, creating a visual play in a minimalist style influenced by architecture and concrete art. Francesc Bergadà is a Spanish visual artist. As an emerging painter, he has already participated in several national and international exhibitions. His distinctive way of capturing works in such concrete and clean form makes him a distinctive artist with great potential. His works focus on three main pillars: the abstract, minimalism, and the geometric. His works represent abstract constructions within a minimalist context where straight lines stand out, imparting impact while at the same time lending elegance to the place where they can be placed. His design inspiration comes from and originates in the classic Tangram game to build geometric compositions with symmetrical and asymmetrical elements. In addition to influences from the Bauhaus movement and also from contemporary Nordic authors such as Carsten Beck. Far from virtuosity, he seeks to convey emotions in each brushstroke and in his simple designs.
