Frame - Wood - Old wooden frame

Antique wooden frame with gilded pastiglia – Neoclassical / Empire Style – Late 19th Century Fascinating and important antique rectangular frame, datable to the end of the 19th century. The piece is made with a solid wooden structure, enhanced by a sumptuous and dense decoration in pastiglia (or stucco) finely worked in relief with classical and foliate ornamental motifs, entirely finished in a warm and lustrous golden tone. The depth and the alternation of relief details create a splendid play of light and shadow, perfect to enrich both an old painting and a high-quality mirror. The structure appears solid and retains intact all the charm of its time. Details and Dimensions: • External dimensions: 56 x 42 x 4 cm • Internal dimensions (frame for painting/mirror): 40 x 25 cm • Weight: 1.5 kg • Era: Late 19th Century (Neoclassical / Empire Style) • Material: Wood, gilded pastiglia/stucco • Condition: Good general condition consistent with the age of the object. There are minimal signs of time and very small cracks in the gilding that do not compromise its aesthetics, but rather attest to its authenticity and age (please view the photographic gallery carefully, which constitutes an integral part of the description). A splendid opportunity for antique collectors and lovers of exceptional home decor. The lot will be packed with the utmost care and shipped with tracking code.
