Fr. 757. 1918 $2 Federal Reserve Bank Note. Cleveland. PMG About Uncirculated 53. Binary Serial Number. Lightly circulated and burdened with a Binary Serial Number that reads "D1100A," this $2 Federal Reserve Bank Note from the Cleveland district stands as a particularly attractive specimen. Here evidence of technical circulation is easily overlooked while bold detail is brought to form throughout the composition. The familiar portrait of Thomas Jefferson which has long been a mainstay of the denomination reflects the evolution of Jefferson's portrait (or lack thereof) while the all-important and iconic depiction of the USS New York (BB-34) which was ultimately decommissioned in 1946 and scuttled in 1948 offers a level of detail only found in the absence of prolonged circulation making this note a real treat certain to entice bidders. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500. Click here for certification details from PMG.
