Forme da scarpe/stivali - Mold (5) Vintage

Astonishing! The lot offered at auction consists of five units of ancient moulds commonly known as "shoe lasts", period pieces, in hard beech wood or fruitwood, dating from the 1930s to the 1950s, once used by master cobblers to build and repair shoes and boots. These increasingly rare objects bear witness to the crafts of the past, coming from a salvage of an old, closed bootmaker’s workshop. All the shoe forms bear engravings or numerical marks and burn marks that attest to the originality of the objects. The wooden lasts are in good overall aesthetic condition, with the patina of time and with slight signs of wear that do not diminish their beauty but instead provide a tangible, concrete testimony of a bygone era, acting as gateways through time, telling stories, ways of living, artisanal techniques, and aesthetic values that have transformed or disappeared, making them collectible pieces valued for their historical and decorative significance, turning them into sculptural and museum objects, unique and perfect for any display case. Objects today in vintage fashion, highly decorative, sought after as rustic home décor accessories, perfect for furnishing clothing boutiques, ateliers, fashion shops, or for collectors of antique cobbler tools and fashion design. Photos are an integral part of the description. Items seen and approved through photographic documentation and, in their current condition, always documented photographically.
