Flos - Antonio Citterio

An icon of contemporary Italian design, Kelvin LED is a desk lamp designed by Antonio Citterio with Toan Nguyen for Flos in 2009. The project reinterprets in a contemporary key the classic articulated-arm task lamp, combining an extremely minimalist structure with a sophisticated LED lighting system. Its characteristic double pantograph structure allows precise light positioning, while the square adjustable head gives the lamp its distinctive technical and rigorous appearance. The glossy black finish further enhances the project’s industrial language. Kelvin LED integrates 30 LEDs, with warm light at 3000 K and light-intensity control technology via an electronic control located on the head. The LED source is integrated and not replaceable. An emblematic object of Flos’s research in technical lighting and industrial design, suitable for both home environments and studios and professional spaces.
