[First Edition] THE CABOT VOYAGES AND BRISTOL DISCOVERY...

pp: [iv] v- xvi [2] 3 - 332. Hakluyt Society Series II, Volume CXX. Bound in pale blue printed dust jacket over darker blue cloth boards. The frontispiece is a fold-out world map of Juan de La Cosa, 1500. There are three additional fold-out maps, and other illustrations throughout the book. The text is an analysis of the material available at the time of writing (1962) that reveal the significance of the voyages of both the Cabots, both father and son. The supporting evidence is noted. This is a very good copy in dust jacket. The jacket has edge wear along the top edge, and sunning on the spine.
