Some time ago, we were lucky enough to be able to purchase a large collection of tourmalines and beryls that had been lying dormant in the warehouse of a gemstone dealer in Stockholm since the 1950s. Our goldsmiths designed a ring that presents one of these gemstones accompanied by six diamonds. Made from sustainable materials with diamonds that also had their own history - to give the historic materials a new lease of life. When we discovered a small collection of intensely coloured tourmalines in an exciting violet-red colour, we couldn't resist and set the stones in the delicate ring. Each is a natural gemstone with delicate, natural inclusions. It is accompanied by six sparkling diamonds, three on the right and three on the left, which add white highlights to the iridescent hue of the tourmaline. Depending on the incidence of light, the coloured gemstone shines in an dusky pink to a stronger purple. As with all rings in this series, the gold and diamonds are sustainably sourced. They come from pieces of jewellery whose condition unfortunately no longer allowed them to be restored. But here, in a new form, they too can begin a new life. This is the first time the tourmaline has been part of a piece of jewellery. We like this ring because it is straightforward and allows the beautiful gemstone to take precedence.
