Filippo Sartorio (1903-1970) - Erminia

Splendid original painting titled Erminia, created in 1955 by the well-known Piedmontese painter Filippo Sartorio (Turin, 1903 - 1970). The work represents a refined female portrait in profile, immersed in an intimate and evocative atmosphere that recalls Post-Impressionist currents and the tonalism of the twentieth century. The figure emerges from a vibrant background thanks to a rich, tactile painting technique and dynamic brushstrokes, where the shades of light blue, deep blue, and cobalt dominate, in perfect contrast with the dark tones of the hair and the delicate accents of the complexion. The painting is enclosed within an important, finely worked and carved wooden frame, with a white lacquer finish that enhances its luminosity, making the piece a décor item of great charm for both classical and contemporary interiors.
