Figurine - Half doll pincushion heads (three) (3) - Porcelain

Antique Porcelain Half Dolls – Set of 3 – German & Foreign Marked – Dutch Lady, Marie Antoinette Style – Circa 1920–1930 An exceptional collection of three antique porcelain half dolls, featuring beautifully detailed period costumes, elegant facial expressions and distinctive poses. Dating stylistically to the early 20th century, approximately 1920–1930, these attractive miniature figures represent the craftsmanship and decorative fashions associated with antique German porcelain half dolls. All three retain their attractive colouring and are in excellent condition, with no chips or damage reported. Doll 1 – Dutch-Style Lady with Black Hat – Germany – No. 7050 A particularly striking and unusual porcelain half doll depicting an elegant Dutch-style lady wearing a large black hat, a vibrant orange-red shawl and a white blouse decorated with a blue bow. Her finely modelled face features delicate painted eyes, rosy cheeks and softly sculpted hair. One hand rests against her chest while the other is positioned gracefully at her waist. The unusually large black hat, distinctive costume and expressive pose make this a particularly appealing example. The figure bears both GERMANY and FOREIGN markings, together with mould number 7050, providing interesting identification details for collectors. * Height: 9 cm * Width: 3 cm * Depth: 3 cm * Markings: GERMANY, FOREIGN, 7050 * Condition: Excellent, no chips or damage Doll 2 – Marie Antoinette-Style Nude Half Doll – Germany – No. 12879 A beautiful and delicate porcelain half doll featuring an elaborate high, powdered-style hairstyle reminiscent of 18th-century French court fashion. The figure is modelled with an uncovered porcelain torso and both arms raised elegantly towards her elaborate hairstyle. Her finely painted facial features, delicate pink detailing and graceful proportions make her a particularly attractive example. Both raised arms and hands are intact, an important feature for collectors, as these delicate extended porcelain elements are especially vulnerable to damage. The doll is marked GERMANY and bears serial or mould number 12879. * Height: 6.5 cm * Width: 2 cm * Depth: 2 cm * Markings: GERMANY, 12879 * Condition: Excellent, no chips or damage Doll 3 – Blue Hat and Dress with Yellow Shawl – No. 18758 A charming miniature porcelain half doll wearing a fashionable pale blue hat and matching blue dress, complemented by a beautifully coloured yellow and orange shawl. Her blonde curled hair frames a delicately painted face, while both arms are raised gracefully towards the sides of her hat. The combination of the outstretched arms, colourful costume and attractive period styling makes this a desirable addition to the collection. The figure bears the FOREIGN mark and mould number 18758. * Height: 5 cm * Width: 2 cm * Depth: 2 cm * Markings: FOREIGN, 18758 * Condition: Excellent, no chips or damage Condition and Collectability All three porcelain half dolls are offered in excellent condition, with no chips, breaks or repairs reported. The collection is particularly appealing due to the variety of designs, the clearly identified mould numbers and the survival of the delicate raised arms and hands. These porcelain figures were traditionally incorporated into decorative pincushions, boudoir accessories and other textile creations during the early 20th century. A wonderful opportunity for collectors of antique German porcelain, half dolls, Art Deco-era miniatures, antique sewing accessories and decorative porcelain figurines. Period: Early 20th century, circa 1920–1930 (estimated) Material: Glazed and painted porcelain Origin: German-marked and FOREIGN-marked examples Quantity: Three antique porcelain half dolls, sold together as one lot. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
