Figural mantel clock - Antique Bronze - 1800-1850

Beautiful and elegant French mantel clock made in mercury bronze. In this case the figure on the left represents Diana the huntress standing beside the clock dial, bearing her quiver and arrows, her faithful greyhound at her feet, and on top of the clock case the helmet as well as a spear, the house trumpet and a bear skin. Highlight the beautiful quality of the gilding and the chiselling in each of its pieces. The dial is made in silvered bronze with Breguet-style hands. Original movement, with hourly and half-hour striking.
