The car offered for auction is a 1986 328 GTS delivered new in Italy, in a rare Blu Scuro Metallizzato with Beige interior, particularly rare and sought after. The GTS configuration and the Pininfarina signature design make it one of the most representative Ferraris of Maranello’s 1980s production. This first series is also without kat and without ABS, a rare combination that is even more appreciated. EXTERIOR The exterior body is in the original Blu Scuro Metallizzato color and is generally single-stage paint; it shows some signs of age and use such as scratches, gravel thrown by the road, pits, and minimal localized corrosion. It has never undergone a full restoration. The doors and bonnets open and close smoothly and overall the car is presentable. A polishing and detailing treatment has been completed. The original wheels are in excellent condition, as are the original details and the Pininfarina logos. A surface test did not reveal any accidents, as also indicated by the Carfax certificate. The underbody appears generally solid and preserved, has never had a restoration and shows no evidence of accidents. INTERIOR The beige leather interior is factory original. It shows some general signs of wear on the dashboard, seats and panels, but it is complete with the rare and distinctive features of the series. The rare roof panel cover behind the seats is also in place. The dashboard is complete with the typical three-spoke steering wheel. A full sanitization has just been performed. The electric windows work, as do the lights that raise and lower correctly. MECHANICS Mechanically the car is running; the original V8 has benefited from documented maintenance over the years, as shown by the attached invoices. Brakes, gearbox, and clutch are functioning and gear engagement is smooth; the car is drivable and has been tested. As with any historic car that has spent a period with little use, before the next technical inspection and normal use, a standard general maintenance is advisable. A Ferrari with very rare colors, usable with a beautiful original patina or an excellent base for a restorative project to pursue concours events and Cavallino gatherings.
