Administrative, fiscal, and judicial original documents printed in Florence under the reigns of Ferdinand III and Leopold II of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine. The lot covers the crucial forty-year period from the post-Napoleonic restoration to the threshold of Italian unification. The lot consists of important document cores: 1) a rare circular of the Royal Council (Reale Consulta), 1815, concerning the collection of taxes arrears from 1814. 2) a pamphlet on prisons and pecuniary penalties, a complete regulation containing tariff schedules for the maintenance of detainees and the financial forms essential for the accounting of prisoners. 3) a circular on provisioning services and prison hygiene, sent contemporaneously to the Vicar of the Regio at Lari (Pisa); autograph signature record of the Secretary General L. Boni; various forensic notices and leaflets, and the registry of dispositions on contracts, levels, and incompatibilities of the forensic professions. 4) contract rules for the mandatory and free distribution of copies of the bulletins among the various departments and the judiciary of the Grand Duchy; a detailed table of copies to be produced and distributed by the Cambiaghi printer to the various Offices; contains other letters signed and dated, plus one letter from Carlo Felice with a watermark dated 1808.
